A 58-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with chief complaint of right hypochondralgia and had felt the so-called carcinoid syndrome. Barium enema and endoscopy revealed a rectal mass 9 mm in diameter, and abdominal CT and ultrasonography revealed the huge tumor in the right lobe of the liver. These tumors were histologically diagnosed as rectal carcinoid with liver metastasis. Rectal resection with lymphadenectomy and extended right lobectomy of the liver were performed. The patient is currently healthy 7 months after surgery.
