Primary Malignant Lymphoma of the appendix -A Case Report-

A 61-year-old man admitted due to right lower abdominal pain, underwent surgery under a preoperative diagnosis of appendicitis. Appendectomy was conducted the same day. Postoperative histological examination revealed a primary malignant lymphoma of the appendix diffuse large-cell type according to LSG (lymphoma study group) classification. Adjuvant chemotherapy was added. We also reviewed 32 cases in the Japanese literatre.
