A 63-year-old woman, who received right nephrectomy for a primary renal cell carcinoma 4 years earlier, and received resection of a skin metastasis on the left shoulder 2 years earlier was admitted. In the subsequent clinical course followed by the Department of Urology, multiple solid tumors with a clear borderline in the pancreas were found in the low echographical level. Also by abdominal CT, an image of a tumor markedly enhanced with a contrast agent was observed. Suppressed extension of the pancreatic duct and complete obstruction were revealed by ERP, and multiple diffuse dark-stained features with a clear borderline were revealed by celiac arteriography. From the above findings, pancreatic metastasis of renal cell carcinoma or a primary pancreatic tumor was diagnosed, and total pancreatectomy was performed. In specimens of the resected tissues, multiple tumors with a clear borderline were observed throughout the pancreas. Histologically, the tumors corresponded to renal cell carcinoma and pancreatic metastasis of renal cell carcinoma was diagnosed.
