A 69-year-old man, in whom a mass of the gallbladder had been detected by computed tomography in another hospital, was admitted to our hospital because of right hypochondralgia. Abdominal ultrasonography revealed a heteroechoic mass of the fundus of the gallbladdar, 30 mm in size. An extended cholecystectomy was performed under the diagnosis of a malignant tumor of the gallbladder and we found a mass in the fundus of the gallbladder, 30×20×25 mm in size. Histological examination of the resected specimen revealed that it was carcinosarcoma of the gallbladder consisting of rhabdomyosarcoma and adenocarcinoma.
