A rare case of metastatic carcinoma of the ascending colon from an endometrial carcinoma with malignant lymphoma is reported. The patient, a 58-year-old woman, underwent a semi-radical hysterectomy for endometrial carcinoma. The pathological diagnosis was a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma. Two years and 8months after the primary surgery, recurrence of endometrial carcinoma was found in the pelvis. We administered CDDP 120 mg and CPA 1, 000mg intravenously for three courses, and irradiation of 60 Gy. One month later, we found a tumor in the ascending colon. The pathological diagnosis obtained from an endoscopic biopsy was a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma, the same as the previous endometrial carcinoma. A right hemicolectomy was performed, and a specimen of regional lymph nodes revealed a malignant lymphoma. The patient is now alive without signs of recurrence one year and 7 months after the second surgery. It is supposed that chemotherapy or irradiation may cause metachronous carcinoma. It appears to be important that not only carcinoma but also hematological malignancies should be taken into consideration after chemotherapy and irradiation.
