A 54-year-old women had undergone mastectomy for advanced right breast cancer. After 7 years and 9 months, her cervical lymph nodes were swollen and biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma. The primary lesion was examined, gastrointestinal endoscopy showed a type 3 lesion in the stomach, and abdominal computed tomography (CT) showed swollen lymph nodes around the abdominal aorta. Gastrectomy was conducted after systemic chemotherapy to reduce tumor size and lymph node swelling. Histological examination showed a well differentiated adenocarcinoma in the mucosa and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma similar to primer breast cancer, so we concluded the patient had both primary gastric cancer and metastatic gastric cancer originating from beast cancer. Few reports describe resected cases of gastric metastasis from breast cancer. Our case is the first report of both primary gastric cancer and metastatic gastric cancer from previous breast cancer existing in the stomach.
