A 58-year-old man referred for abdominal pain. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) showed a thickened colonic wall and nodular calcification. Colonoscopic showed purplish-blue edematous mucosa from the cecum to the transvers colon, necessitating conservative medical treatment. Due to ileus symptoms and man's wishes, we conducted surgery in July 2008, concluding with a definative diagnosis of phlebosclerotic colitis.
